Language Translation Service is the interpretation of the meaning of a text and the subsequent production of an equivalent text that communicates exactly the same or at least almost the same message in another language. The text to be rendered into another language is generally referred to by representatives of the translation industry as the source text, while the language that source text is to be translated into is called the target language. The final product is called the target text.

Translation needs to take into account constraints that include context, the grammar rules of the source and target languages, their writing (orthographic) conventions, as well as their idioms.  A common misconception exists according to which there is a simple, unequivocal word-for-word, sentence-by-sentence correspondence between any two languages, and that translation is a straightforward, self-evident, automatic process that can be performed even by a machine. A word-for-word translation of this sort, however, cannot take into account context, grammar, conventions, creative language use, cultural differences and idioms, for instance.

Editing & Proofreading

Our translation company provides Hungarian proofreading and editing services as well. Proofreading is linguistic correction, in other words: the correction of spelling and grammar mistakes. Editing is stylistic and professional field-related correction, i.e. that of style and industry-specific terminology. Proofreading and editing are two subsequent steps in our three-level quality management system, i.e. translation is followed by professional editing, which, in turn, is followed by linguistic proofreading. Localization can also be defined as the second phase of a larger process (Internationalization) of product translation and cultural adaptation (for specific countries, regions or targeted audience) to account for differences in distinct markets. Therefore, it is important not to restrict the process to a simple translation activity since it involves considerably more: a comprehensive study of the target culture(s) in order to appropriately adapt the given product. Brand name check

Harcz & Partner Ltd. also provides Hungarian brand name checking services. We have completed dozens of Hungarian brand name check projects in the course of the past thirteen years. If your company is planning to sell its product(s) in new countries or regions, it is often advisable to create a new brand name for it for each country or region. Your task is to come up with a list of possible country-specific brand names, and our contribution is to check which of these is the most appropriate and useful in the given country/region, in the present case: Hungary.
